Now after four decades and 5000 concerts we must pause to celebrate God's goodness and enabling. We also wish to express gratitude our many friends, partners, and supports over the years! The concert will feature: hymn arrangements, Christian contemporary selections, love songs, and a few media surprises as we reminisce through the years. We are especially excited to be assisted by Colleen Adent, pianist, our arranger and accompanist for 30 years. Colleen was recent quarter finalist in the International Van Claiborne Piano Competition. You will be thrilled with Colleen's accompaniments and solo work throughout the evening. The Grace Chorale will accompany us on several selections!
The expenses of this event exceed $10,000 - We ask you to consider supporting this effort with your contributions and prayers. An opportunity to donate through your PayPal account or credit card is provided below! It is our fervent prayer that this Celebration will bring great honor to the One who called us, enabled, us, and sustained us to sing these many years for His Glory alone!
or four decades, the concert ministry of John and Mary Giger has served and encouraged the Christian concert-goer with powerful and skillful singing. Together, they have sung more than 5,000 concerts in churches, universities, crusades, and conventions throughout the United States, Canada, and Great Britain. Hearing them personally gives insight into their deep commitment, but in all their concerts, one is not as overwhelmed with John and Mary as one is with the fact that God is enabling two finely-tuned vessels fit for His use.
John and Mary concert reaches and involves the entire family, from the elementary age to the elderly, with excellence, charm, and humor. Their singing demonstrates the wide range of vocal art — from stylized contemporary expressions to sensitive gospel and traditional sounds. Trained in classical music with strong backgrounds in the church, John and Mary knew not long after they were cast together in numerous opera productions that God was leading them into a special calling — Christ centered music ministry.
pportunities for the Gigers to share with audiences are ever widening and now include: the Presidential Prayer Breakfast, Moody Founders Week, the National Christian Booksellers Convention, National Religious Broadcasters Convention, The Congress on Biblical Inerrancy, the National Southern Baptist Convention, and MUSICalifornia. They are kept busy with weekly concerts, regional music conferences, and as clincians for church choir workshops.
